Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

Uses specialized drilling equipment to create a path for the new  pipe,minimizing surface disruption. 

Microtunneling:
Uses a remote-controlled tunneling machine to create a tunnel slightly larger than the pipe, allowing for installation with minimal surface impact. 

Guided drilling:
A pilot tube is used to control the desired route through the ground, followed by auger boring to install the pipe.
